Why I built it

For twelve years, this was my Sunday.

Here is what an honest CRO audit actually looks like — the version I lived, not the version the tool websites sell.

Open GA4. Find the funnel step that leaks. Set up a heatmap. Then sit down with a stack of session recordings, sorted by length and source and drop-page, and watch them. All of them. Looking for the exact second a real human gave up on the page. With coffee. Not glamorous.

Is the free audit really free?

Do I have to install anything?

Not for the audit — you only paste a URL. Heatmaps, recordings, journeys and funnels need one small snippet on your site, added once. That is the only setup, and there is a copy-paste guide for it.

Microsoft Clarity is free — isn't that good enough?

Clarity is free in the sense that you pay with your visitors' data. Every session is shared with Microsoft, used for their product and advertising telemetry, and routed through US infrastructure — which after Schrems II is a real GDPR problem for European sites. Clarity also hands you raw heatmaps to interpret yourself. HowsMyPage gives you the dollar-ranked finding, EU-hosted, with no third-party data flow.

Does HowsMyPage really catch traffic GA4 misses?

Yes — measurably. Install both side by side for a week and your HowsMyPage Analytics will show 25-40% more visitors than GA4. The difference is ad-blocked browsers, Apple devices, Brave users and cookie-declined sessions. GA4 silently records nothing for those visitors because their browsers either block google-analytics.com outright or refuse the cookies GA4 needs to attribute sessions. We run on your own infrastructure with no cookies and no third-party domains — there is nothing to block.

Do I have to drop GA4 to use HowsMyPage?

No — they coexist on the same page. Drop our snippet in and keep GA4 running if you need to. Many customers do this for the first month: GA4 keeps the historical reports and Google Ads conversion bidding alive, while HowsMyPage shows them the 25-40% of visitors GA4 was missing. Once they see the gap with their own eyes, most drop GA4 within a month or two. But you don't have to — HowsMyPage works as your only analytics, or as an extra layer beside another tool.

What's the custom subdomain (CNAME) for?

By default the analytics script loads from analytics.howsmypage.com — fast install, no DNS work. From Growth and up you can point analytics.yourcompany.com to our infrastructure with a single DNS record. This makes the tracker indistinguishable from any other call on your site, so even aggressive ad blockers cannot target it. The result: maximum accuracy, zero blocklists.

Is my data really EU-hosted?

Yes. Analytics data, session recordings, audit reports and email delivery all process in EU infrastructure — no US-based providers in the data path. Your privacy policy can name us as a sub-processor and reference our EU data processing: no AWS US, no Google, no Meta.

What happens after the $7 trial?
